Shriya's Puppy Love

Shriya Saran's Puppy Love

Every dog has its day! Ask Shriya Saran! Apparently, the actress, while shooting for Rumi Jaffery's Galli Galli Main Chor Hain came across this abandoned stray puppy and took it under her wings.

A unit source revealed, "We were shooting in one of the roads in Bhopal when Shriya happened to spot this puppy struggling to remain afloat in an overflowing gutter. It was badly bruised and could barely manage to take care itself. Seeing it in a sorry state, Shriya gave it shelter. The first thing she did was got him cleaned and took him to a vet. She even named him Turu and became quite attached to him. Since she didn't have the heart to part with him, she decided to keep it with her."

The pup had a whale of a time playing inside Shriya's vanity van while the actress shot for the film. "Those few days that Turu was on the sets, it had practically become a part of the unit." After she finished her schedule, she wanted to leave him in safe hands. She advertised on her micro-blogging page, and soon, a die-hard fan of hers came forward to adopt Turu.

Shriya Saran to Appear in the Buff?

Shriya Saran to Appear in the Buff?

Shriya Saran has always been one of the most glamourous heroines in the South. But she was taken aback when noted Bengali filmmaker, Rituparno Ghosh asked her to appear in the nude for a scene in his film. Apparently, her character is a prostitute and the scene was important to the script.

The actress reportedly has mixed feelings because the role is a superb one and will really bring out her acting prowess. Moreover, Rituparno Ghosh did wonders for Aishwarya Rai's career and could do the same for her. But she does have reservations about the nude scene though she knows that Ghosh is a reputed director and will shoot the scene in an aesthetic manner without any sleazy elements. What will she decide?

Sports was never so Tweet

Sports was never so Tweet

Twitter was abuzz after the weekend conclusion to IPL and Champions League finals 2011. With things getting Messier and Messier, it was time for “eventually the best team, the best organised, the best selected and the best led” that had the honour to lift the cup of glory.

Cricketer Dale Steyn resorted to humour as he tweeted: “It’s going to be tight but it looks like CSK and BARCA are the people’s choice! I’m off to dinner, my choice is the fish, and chef says that’s the best! Ha ha”.

Clearly supporting Barcelona was actor Shreya, “Really like both the teams but Barca has the magic”. Siddharth who updated his tweets regularly, posted an interesting tweet after the football finals, “Barca has half the Spanish team. Can’t help but look at them with awe. Sir Alex looks molested. Shouting at everyone ;)”.

The conclusion to the sports extravaganza was summarised perfectly by Steyn, “A weekend of great sport! Well done CSK, true champions with their second trophy! You are all heroes.”
